Description

Up for bid is a 1987 Dodge Ramcharger. I am the third owner of this truck and have owned it for 12 years. I drove it to work occasionally. and casually around town until it was wrecked in November of last year. I am going to cover the good about the truck before the accident. and then post the bad. The AC and heat. power windows. power locks. cruise. tilt wheel. etc. worked fine until the accident. The truck has 108. 66 miles and THEY ARE ORIGINAL!!! It had 79. 00 when I bought it 12 years ago. I have the owners manual with the original dealer. paperwork. and even the salesman's card where the truck was bought locally where I live in Arkansas. The miles were low because the original owner was a wildlife officer so her daily driver was provided by the state. I bought it from the second owner who was my boss at the time. He mainly used it on camping trips and drove it to work every now and then. The truck is all original except for the paint (which was done sometime around 2001) and the aftermarket chrome rims I bought in 2007. As far as the bad. see the pics for damage. I was the last vehicle in a 4 car pileup which happened in November of 2014. I rear-ended a 2014 Chevy pickup. I believe the frame is slightly warped in the front because the passenger door will not open. Before the wreck. nbsp;I can tell you that it used about 1/2 quart of oil every 3. 00 miles or so. All I ever did mechanically was had the AC changed over from the old R4 refrigerant. changed the battery. and had a transmission seal replaced around the linkage that was leaking. I also added a new Holley 500 carburetor last year just before the accident. but that does not go with the truck unless you want to pay an extra $200. I still have the original 2 bbl carburetor to go with it and it worked fine. I only upgraded to the Holley to add more power. If you want any more details just message me with any questions. I loved this truck and really wanted to restore it. but I had to buy a new one and simply don't have the time and money for it.
