Description

I bought this little pickup truck about three years ago with the intention of fixing it up and having a really nice, lmost like new pickup truck that would be my daily driver and get INCREDIBLE MILEAGE! Itwould beeverything I wanted in a little pickup truck, 4-cylinder diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission in a nice and straight little pickup truck, ice custom wheels, tc., utmy life is going in a different direction, nd soon I will have no room to store it. It took me weeks to find the parts I needed to rebuild the engine., and then it took me weeks longer to have it rebuilt! After many hours on the phone and many more on the internet I found whatI think was the last .40over pistonsin existence. I had them shipped in from overseas, hen I foundsome of the bearings and rods froma place in the Midwestand a gasket kit fromback east,etc... I literally bought the parts I needed from all over the world! If you have ever tried to doa COMPLETE rebuild on one of these engines then you know that it is practically impossible to find ALL of the parts to do it. As far as I know I have the only one thathas been bored out with new pistons, rods, earings, alves etc.. It is a complete rebuild, ot justhoned out with some new rings put in. It is complete and ready to put backin the truck! As you can see in the photos I left the head off of it and took photos of the cylinder walls, ops of the pistons, nd valves on the headso you can see the cross hatching of the pistons and see that thepistons and valves are new. The 5-speed transmission comes with a VERY difficult to find rebuild kit too. It doesn't really need it, ut when you shift from first to second itdoes not go into gear quite as smoothly as it does in theother gears, o I figured since I was going to rebuild the engine I may as well rebuild the transmission too. So off I went to get a kit to rebuild for that too, nd it alsotook me weeks to find! Itturns out that the kits to rebuild the transmissions are not that easy to findeither. You can find the partial rebuild kits, ut this one is amore complete kit with parts the others don't have!I never got the time to put the kit in the transmission, ut it is included with the truck when you buy it and is ready to put in the transmission. Now for the body of the truck. Another reason I bought this truck was because the body is really straight. I tried to get some photos of a few of the very minor dings in the truck, ut because it is white and the dings are very minor I had a difficult time getting them to show up in photos. The body is not perfect, ut it isreally nice, specially for a truck this age.I did drive it before I took theengine out andthe brakes worked well, he steering was tight, nd other than the engine that Ismoked and needed to be rebuilt, t was a very solid little truck. The glass is all good on it as is the chrome etc.., nd yes, t does come with a very rare and very handy double door, xtra tall insulated canopy. It could use some new panellinginside, ut does not leak. Well, hat's about it. If you know anything about these little Isuzu diesel 223 engines than you know that they get great mileage and last forever ( I have a friend who says he gets close to 50 mpg on his little 2 wheel drive diesel like this one. You may also know that basically the only difference between the Chevy Luv trucks and the Isuzu trucks is the emblems...the body parts areall the same.If taken care off these little trucks can go many hundreds of thousands of miles without needing a rebuild. All ofthe parts that were in this truck when it was driveable are included, ll you have to do is put it back together with the rebuilt engine and transmission and your good to go.When you get this truck together you will probably have the only completely rebuilt truckin existence with zero miles on the rebuild. By the way, had the engine rebuilt at a local, ighly skilled machine shop that rebuildsmany engines for everything from diesel tractors to highly modified and very expensive race cars...and I have allof the receiptsfor the rebuild parts and the receipts for the labor from the shop where the work was done. I will hate to see it sell because I know I will probably never get another chance to have a truck like this. Please note, will need a $400 deposit and the truck must be paid for and picked up within three weeks after the end of the listing unless other arrangements are made before a purchase is made. This truck does come with a clear title, nd I will be happy to assist you or your shipper in loading the truck. Take alook at the photos, nd if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, nd thanks for viewing this listing!
