Description

Revised on 7/12/ 2016. The Vin number in the description here is correct. I must have goofed in the ebay form fields (fill in the blanks) Sorry. Thanks to all those that pointed it out to me so quickly.
I am the Owners representative. This car is titled as a 1967 Jaguar E Type in Florida. The vin # 1E13370 matches the front cross-member frame stamping. The car was purchased at least 15 years ago. As I you can see in the photos, the builder plate or "chassis plate" does not exist. It appears the car was painted many years ago as it should have been with most all the bits and drive train removed. The builders plate was not replaced as evidenced by the remaining screws. I did make sure it was not under the paint. There is a small plate on the firewall left side that they did not remove, painted over and then undercoated over. I scraped as much off as I could without too much damage but as you will see, not much info. The engine number is in the photos. I do not know where else to look if there are more numbers. The paint and body (and undersides) are very nice. This car is a show stopper at local events. There is a quarter sized paint bubble that can be seen in the photos at the crease on the drivers side top of the bonnet. The camel fabric top is mint except where it was pinched on the driver side just behind the driver. The right front wire wheel has some bent spokes and some chrome related problems as seen in the photos. I put the car on the lift last week and has no evidence of east coast rust. The brake rotors are perfect, all the suspension rubber looks good. The SS exhaust system is new (the decals have not yet burnt off.) The alternator was replaced and some late model relays added at the battery heater box area. The tie rod ends appear to be new and I found receipt of a 4 wheel alignment recently. Only a few other service records have been unearthed. I drove the car quite a bit last week and the worst thing that happened was it flooded a couple of times after I stopped (90 degrees out). I ordered two carb kits which were installed last week. The tappets sound loose, but it pulls like a MACK truck in third. Tires show no sign of degradation. The car has been in a conditioned garaged as long as I have known it, Nothing balky. And, it is as comfortable over the road as my 1994 XJ6 (just a little harder to get into in my old age). We have some very rough roads here. There is a spare. If you need more info, I really don't have any. The car is being sold "AS IS, WHERE IS". There is nothing implied here. I answer all emails daily.
Good luck and enjoy the car.
Bill
