Description

An Absolute Beauty!

**************************** NO RESERVE! ****************************
I am the third owner of this magnificent beauty! Believed to be the original mileage, just 15,098 miles! The story is that the original owner loved his car so much that he put it up on blocks every winter in his tiny wooden garage. Unfortunately, he soon became too old and sick to get it out and one year turned into 20. I think we all know how that happens. In any event, his wife and family piled stuff on the car and in the garage over the years. Approximately 30 years later, an aircraft mechanic and Jaguar afficionado heard the story and just had to check it out. Needless to say, he became the next owner! The car was scruffy and needed a repaint, but he tells me that it was a bare metal respray AND NEEDED NO BODY WORK WHATSOEVER. I have had an expert appraiser go over the car with his paint gauge and he can't find any signs of accident damage or filler of any kind! THERE IS NO RUST EVIDENT! All panels are original and all numbers match!
Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate included.

This car has been retrofitted with chrome wire wheels and earlier chrome bumpers! The seats have recently been recovered in factory-style leather and new foams.Brand new Stainless Steel Muffler System just installed!Retro-Sound Vintage-style modern radio with AM/FM/MP3 and external audio inputs.Aftermarket Burled Walnut dash and shift console panels from British Autowood and shift knob have been added. Along with a wood steering wheel. They can be easily removed if desired. Original black leather steering wheel with growler horn button come with the car. The ugly license plate bracket on the front has been removed as well. It too comes with the car, if desired.
This car needs nothing! I have just had the oil and water changed out of an abundance of caution. Castrol GTX.
The only flaw that I am aware of is that the windshield is starting to de-laminate slightly on the passenger side. Certainly nothing that affects safety or is readily apparent.
This car starts easily and runs wonderfully! Open air driving at its best. It's hard not to grin when you are behind the wheel of this beauty!
Car is located in Hamilton, Ontario. About 45 minutes north of Buffalo or 30 minutes north of Lewiston, NY.
The car was professionally rebuilt and mechanically checked. Anything worn or questionable was replaced. I have all of the original receipts from the previous owner (about 3/4 of an inch thick). I am selling as my oldest daughter has just announced that she is getting married in July and my youngest is starting medical school next week. My priorities have had to change!
