Description

For sale is this very nice and ready to drive 1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe. This car has been well preserved with some updates about 5 years ago when the interior was redone. You can stilll smell a pleasant new leather odor when inside the cockpit. The car starts very easily on command. Driving down the road is a pleasant experience while being so low to the ground. Steering is easy as is the throttle. A quiet grumble that is deep and not overbearing comes from the exhuast. Call or text today to make a deal on this fine automobile. 832-379-8817. Thanks!!Other descriptions about the car:By the late 1960’s Jaguar’s venerable E-Type was nearly a decade old and starting to feel a bit past its prime to sports car buyers. Safety and emissions regulations affected the styling and performance and newer more modern cars were hitting the market. Jaguar needed a significant refresh to inject some new life into the E-Type. It also needed a car that would meet those new safety and emissions standards all while keeping up with the performance gains of its rivals. The new XKE (as it was designated in the US) was longer lower wider and roomier than the E-Type Series 2 it replaced. In essence the basic layout remained the same with a semi-monocoque body tub bolt-on front subframes front and rear independent suspension and disc brakes on all four corners. But now the fenders were flared to clear larger wheels and some of the previous E-Type’s supple curves were flattened out and modernized. Body styles were reduced to two choices – a 2+2 coupe and the beautiful open two seat roadster. The new car also sported a larger redesigned cockpit light-touch power steering and an all-around softer nature. At our dealership we work very hard to accurately describe our vehicles through text descriptions and elaborate photos. When you purchase a pre-owned classic. you know that it is an old car. and stuff happens. We do our best to have the vehicle is good reliable condition but it is up to the buyer to inspect the car and accept its present and running condition. Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes. Before placing a bid please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures.
