Retaining its original, est-of-breed 3.8L engine and original Borg-Warner automatic transmission, his very original, eautifully presented California example has always been properly garaged and suitably maintained.

Never in an accident and exceedingly straight, he car’s original body is in excellent condition, etaining consistent and correct panel fits and gaps and cloaked in its correct British Racing Green, ost recently professionally refinished to a very high standard in the mid 1990s. Indicative of its well-cared-for, imited “weekend driver” use by the second owner, he finish has held up beautifully, arred only by the most minor of imperfections, one of which are significant enough to appear in any of the pictures or compromise the car’s considerable appeal. All of the glass and chrome is original to the car and in excellent condition and the knock off wire wheels are flawless and wrapped in brand new radial tires.

The car’s interior is equally as clean and extremely original. Finished in wonderfully era-specific and complimentary green, he front seats have been professionally rebuilt and reupholstered in factory correct Connelly leather and the rear seats, arpets and interior panels are in excellent original condition. The same can be said for the wood dash, oor trim and tray tables, he gorgeous polished walnut veneer dash housing a fully functional row of gauges and toggle switches.

The car is also strong mechanically, he desirable, umbers matching 3.8L DOHC engine with twin SU HD6 carburetors starting effortlessly, dling consistently and pulling strongly and smoothly through each of the original Borg-Warner transmission’s gears. Per the long-term previous owner, he odometer’s exhibited 18k miles is representative of 118k miles, ith the original engine and transmission having been rebuilt at roughly 100k miles. The ride quality is comfortable, he car handling with sporting prowess and driving and stopping straight and responsively, ts four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes functioning flawlessly.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a beautiful, olid, umbers matching and well-cared-for California example of the venerable Mark II Saloon. One of the most beautiful sedans ever built and one of the first performance oriented “driver’s” saloons, he 3.8L Mark II will always demand the attention of enthusiasts and collectors alike.
