Recently acquired, ur 1973 Series 3 E-Type Roadster comes to us by way of it’s third owner who meticulously maintained and cared for this beautiful V12 Roadster.Originally owned by a couple in Minnesota, his E-Type was sold to the next owner in Missouri before lastly coming back to Minnesota where we noticed it at the 10,000 Lakes Concours d’Elegance.
Introduced in 1971, he Series 3 E-Type paved the way with an all-new 5.3 litre V12 Engine with 4 Zenithcarburetors originally developed to race in the LeMans series. This incredible powerplant allowed the Jaguar to leap to 60 miles per hour in under 7 seconds – in 1971! Offered primarily with the V12 engine and an Extended Wheelbase, he Series 3 E-Types came in either Roadster or 2+2 Coupe.
With a comprehensive list of maintenance and service records spanning years, his Roadster is as clean under the hood as it is admiring the Carmen Red repaint from 10 years ago. Originally Regency Red, he paint and brightwork shows incredibly well. The interior is just as clean and it drives out as great as it looks. This E-Type still pulls strong and idles as it should. The handling and ease of directing this roadster around curves puts most modern cars to shame, nd gives them all a run for their money when it comes to looks!
Looking for the perfect Jaguar Roadster to own and drive rather than restoring? You’ve found it.
