The Jeep Wagoneer is the first luxury 4x4, old and produced through numerous marques from 1963 to 1991. An SUV for decades long before the term was even coined, he 4WD Wagoneer saw only minor mechanical changes during its 28-year production run.
Introduced as a successor to the Willys Jeep Station Wagon that had been built since the end of World War II, he Wagoneer pioneered the sport utility vehicle concept. The Wagoneer made its debut seven years before Land Rover launched its Range Rover in Great Britain, nd 24 years before that upscale marque appeared in the United States.
The Grand Wagoneer enjoyed one of the longest production runs of any vehicle. It was the longest domestically produced vehicle (29 years) on the same platform. The 1987–1991 models years are considered "the best of the breed and still have a loyal following among a select group". Late model Grand Wagoneers have become highly collectable. The last Grand Wagoneer produced rolled out of Chrysler's Toledo assembly plant on June 21, 991.
This particular truck is in excellent condition but in need of some mechanical TLC. You have an opportunity here to buy this with huge upside. It was completely restored almost 2 years ago by the well-known restoration shop Wagonmaster. The entire body was gone over as well as a full mechanical restoration to check that all was in good working order. All the trucks also get new interiors including carpets and a headliner.
Running and driving well and has been used for the past year and a half with no issues. It has been driven hundreds of miles with no problems. As of late the motor has a slight loss of power and the owner is not sure of what is needed and not looking to invest additional money in it. We welcome your inspections prior to purchase and will work with you or a local shop of your choosing to diagnose. The owner paid over $50,000 for this truck and is not using it enough to justify keeping it. Always garaged and well maintained. The only other thing we can find and want to point out is you have some minor rust bubbling on the right and left rear lower quarter panels, ight side dog leg and front right fender. Beyond that the truck is very very clean and with minimal investment would be a show winner.
