1985 JEEP CJ7 258 INLINE 6 4. 2L - RUNS GREAT!AUTOMATIC TRANS - WARN LOCKOUT HUBSBLACK EXTERIOR W/ BLACK & TAN INTERIORVIN# 1JCCE87E5FT087172PREVIOUS RESTORATIONCONSIGNMENT SALE *NOTE* Selling this Jeep on consignment for a local client. Jeep went through thorough inspection so we could advertise this for sale and list every thing possible. Please let us know if you have any questionsTHE GOOD - This CJ has had a previous restoration. Restoration appears to include complete paint job. tub has been lined with bed liner type material. lift kit appears to have been installed at the time of restoration with new shocks. new exhaust. motor has a few bolt on goodies. newer battery. seats have been replaced. ball joints replaced. Warn Lock Out hubs installed. Can not verify exactly how much of this was done at restoration or if it was over a period of time but it visibly appears to have been gone through all at once. This Jeep had been sitting in storage and got a little dusty but I did give the exterior a good shining. After sitting in storage. I went to start it expecting to have a drained battery and take forever to start and run. I was amazed when after only a couple of cranks this CJ fired right up and ran STRONG. Took for a test drive and everything did as it should. 4x4 shifts and activates. tranny shifts through all gears. brakes were strong with a stiff pedal. All lights and instrumentation work (minus tach). This is 100% road worthy. New tires were installed last summer and only have around 1500 miles according to owner. Jeep has Hard Top on it now but owner has Soft Top and Bimini Top as well. When the owner bought the hard top he did not buy the hard top doors. Just used the soft doors. THE BAD - No major body or paint damage but does have two small rust areas poking through on the body and a couple of small areas on the crease area of the hood. On the body. one on each side near the foot well above the rocker area (see pics). The transmission has a small leak. Appears to be leaking from the pan. Not sure if this leak is just from not being driven or if it has been there awhile. Based on the undercarriage I would guess that the leak been there for several miles. It also looks like the oil pan has a small leak and I noticed the valve cover gasket is leaking. Im thinking it is just loose fasteners based on the way the cork gasket was poking out under the valve cover. The rear diff has a small bleed as well. I did notice a couple of small hoses in the engine compartment were dry rotted and cracking. I did not notice any other note worthy issues as this Jeep is mechanically sound. Just needs a few minor details to be "perfect. " The driver soft door is bent and could possibly be repaired. I also noticed that the tachometer does not work. THE STORY - Not much story to share other than the client's family has outgrown this great CJ and is ready for it to go to a new owner who will appreciate it and have as much fun with it as they have. It does have a clear Oklahoma Title and will come with a bill of sale as well. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PICS AND ASK QUESTIONS IF THERE ARE ANYON SITE INSPECTIONS ARE WELCOMED AND CAN BE ARRANGED IF DESIREDPlease feel free to ask any questions. Will work with shipping company if buyer arranges shipping but local pick up is always welcome. I am not perfect and would never claim to be but I have noted everything that I know to date about this special ride. A minimum deposit of $500 is due immediately upon clicking buy it now or acceptance of an offer. Would prefer for Jeep to be picked up within one week of acceptance but will always work with a good communicator.
