You are bidding on my very rare and super cool 1977 Jeep Cherokee Chief S 4wd. They made 2 door FSJ Cherokees from 74-83 and 77 was the first year to offer a 4 door version. They essentially look like a grand wagoner but without all the funky woodgrain. This particular jeep has it's original AMC 401 V8 in it and turbo 400 trans in it. The 401 is the largest engine Jeep ever put in a vehicle past or present. It appears to have never been out of the jeep, nd it is showing 74000 miles. It actually runs and drives great. The 4wd is the Quadratrac system. It has 33" mud terrains on it with new dick cepek DC-2 wheels. I jump on the freeway and do 60 in it and it tracks straight and runs excellent. It could literally be used as a daily driver as is. No smoke no knocks, ngine runs good trans shifts through all 3 gears. Brakes work great and suspension has had work done in the past and feels good. As with any 40 year old vehicle it could use some work. The body is very good for a 77 because it's always been in the south. There are various bubbles not too many on the main body, ut a few. The majority of the bubbling is on the tailgate. I took pics of all the areas. The floors are solid and the frame is very nice. The gauges work. The only things I would do to it in the future are 1. gas tank was bypassed due to sitting, t is running on a 15 gal tank behind the rear seat. Old tank is still under jeep and a new one is $200 on ebay. 2. Back window and tailgate work, ut switch is bypassed onto a toggle but does operate, ust not as factory.
As you can see for a 1977 it is in good shape overall, ut please don't expect a show jeep. These are hard to come by in any condition, ut the good part is overall this one is solid and runs and drives great. I drove it 60 miles today in fact. Do not miss your chance I will only list it once. I am selling the jeep NO RESERVE so bid to win. I reserve the right to end this auction early at any time for any reason as Jeep is for sale locally. Please ask with any questions. Thanks and good luck! I have a clean and clear Louisiana title for the jeep.
