I purchased this vehicle from a small town Sheriff's Dept in Nevada. The original NV title I received showed the Sheriff's office as the original owner, dating back to 1994. The winning bidder will receive a copy of the original title, as well as the current WA State title.
I trailered the vehicle home from NV, and licensed, titled, and registered it in my name here in WA State, and paid all the sales tax on it.
To make this vehicle safe and reliable, it has undergone an extensive go-through and updating, including, new radiator, new hoses, fresh coolant, new coolant temp gauge sender, new oil pressure gauge sender, new spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, TPS sensor, new exhaust manifold and gasket, new catalytic converter, new motor mounts, new shocks, cleaned grease fittings and lubed chassis, fresh oil and filter change, new air filter, complete gas tank removal, full soak, scrub, clean, dry, installed new Bosch fuel pump and strainer, new tank lock ring and gasket, pumped, tested fuel pre-filter to insure cleanliness, installed new fuel filter, inspected brakes and components, approximately 50% wear on pads and shoes, tires appear new.
The floorboards directly above the old catalytic converter appear they were blistered at some time. I fitted metal sheeting panels over this area, and have included photos. The pictures show a straight pipe installed here from previous owner, but this has been replaced with a new catalytic converter. There are some small isolated areas of rust forming underneath the vehicle. I have included photos showing these areas. Someone previously placed a fiberglass patch about 6x6 inches on the driver's floor, but it appears more related to a possible water leak up top, than anything down below. All 4wd functions operate normally, all heat controls work, and A/C is cold.
The seats are in good shape overall, a bit dirty, with some small tears and cuts. The instrument cluster glass has a small crack at the bottom, and the gear indicator in the instrument cluster is not working. The headliner is good. The front windshield has a crack, and part of the trim panel housing the wipers is missing. The body and paint have numerous nicks, scrapes, dings, and touch-ups from the years, and it appears the vehicle was repainted at some point. There are plugs in the roof from antennas, and several drill holes inside where equipment was mounted. I removed acres of decal glue from the outside, and some imprints still remain, such as "Call 911," "Sheriff," etc. I intentionally left the decal glue on the tailgate which shows the actual law enforcement agency's name, for just a touch of authenticity.
The Jeep runs and drives beautiful now after all the repairs and updates, both in town and out on the highway. It really scoots!
