You will NOT find another Jeep with low miles in better shape than this vehicle. The Jeep was in Arizona from 1973-2014, so it was not exposed to any of the elements. Since 2014 it has been garage kept in Virginia. I am the third owner of this 1973 Jeep CJ5. The original owner hadthis vehicle until approximately 2009. It sat on his property for over 25 years unused. The second owner only had the vehicle for approximately 6 months before selling it to me. I had the Jeep professional restored, to include removal of the body (pictures available upon request) in 2014. I just registered the vehicle for the first time since 1983!!! Some of the many itemsrestored/servicedinclude:
- Paint/Body (smooth bed liner on the floor of the interior)
- Engine (heads, carburetor rebuilt)
- Suspension
- Heat
- Brakes
- Wiring (including adding a fuse box)
- New Winch
- New Top
- New Front Seats
- New Full Roll Bar
- New Fuel System (2016!)
A couple other bonus features of this vehicle:
- Locking compartment under passenger seat
- Radio/CB and speaker hole (dealer installed in 1973)
- Key lock hood latch
- Shackle lift to provide clearance for 33 inch tires!
