MotoeXotica Classic Cars is very pleased to present another late-model collectible; the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, the first luxury sport-utility vehicle made way before the term was ever coined. The Wagoneer had a 28-year production run with only minor mechanical changes during that time and today, they are extremely sought-after by families who want a classic SUV with visibility.

This example is one of just 10,159 made in 1989 and it’s dressed in Pearl White with faux wood bodyside vinyl appliqués. The paint is in great shape, with just a couple of blemishes on the front doors and hood visible on close inspection. The Jeep’s trim, including the roof rack, is in good order. The glass panels are intact and haze-free. In fact, visibility was a major Grand Wagoneer strength. Driver and passengers enjoyed a near-panoramic view over the flat hood and no thick pillars to hide pedestrians or oncoming vehicles. The Jeep’s lights are in similar good shape, crack- and haze-free. The car rides on Hankook tires, size 235/75R15, surrounded by factory alloy wheels. All body panels are straight and the cargo area contains a full-size spare tire. Lower the back seat and you have 74.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity at your disposal. The engine bay is tidy, the battery looks new and the bumpers are in decent shape.

Under the hood is Chrysler’s 360 CID V-8 engine, hooked to Chrysler’s famous Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. This wagon boasts a 20-gallon fuel tank too, allowing for greater highway travel range.

Inside, the Jeep’s Cordovan interior, a blend of leather and velour, is in extremely good shape. The split front bench seat is big and comfortable, and the matching carpet is in good condition. The matching headliner, lifted from Chrysler’s popular minivans with overhead front console, map lights, temperature and compass displays, is in the same shape. The wagon’s instrument panel is in one piece and looks great while the two-spoke, leather-wrapped steering wheel is in similar condition, as are the interior door panels and the wagon’s mirrors. Driver assist features abound – air-conditioning, remote keyless entry, cruise control, power steering, tilt steering column, power brakes, power front seat, power mirrors, power locks, power windows, rear defroster, power rear window and rear window washer/wiper. Completing the interior is a factory AM/FM stereo with cassette and four AccuSound by Jensen premium speakers.

Documentation includes original owner’s manual. Competition to this Jeep in 1989 included Chevrolet’s K5 Blazer, Ford’s Bronco, Range Rover and indirectly, Dodge’s Ramcharger.

This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 103,530 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
