1982 Jeep CJ5 with 28k actual miles, owner California Jeep

I have sold few Land Cruiser and various vintage 4x4's here on eBay with 100% satisfaction so bid with confidence1982 Jeep CJ5, cylinder Iron Duke, -5 (5 speed), x4 base model CJ, ower steering and brakes, x4, ilt wheel.

Everyone knows the term "Barn Find" but this Jeep was more of a "Carport Find". This Jeep was owned by it's second owner since 11/28/87 and was kept in Willits, A north of San Francisco. It was sparingly used though well maintained over the years while being stored in a Carport. The Jeep is nearly 100% original with the exception on the radio and front tow bar (4-way flat wiring installed). Rare to find an unmodified, nmolested Jeep. It's even got the original wheels, eats, arpet, tc.!! It's even got the original "Blue" California plates! (Yes I have the front plate).

They are only original once!!

I bought the Jeep and it ran great and just needed new tires and a little love. The 100% original paint is in awesome shape for a 33 year old Jeep with proper patina showing the originality. Faded original pin striping from the 80's, ear on the body where the soft top doors seal against the sides, nd original factory rivets just where they are supposed to be. The body is 100% rust free except for 2 minor spots on the windshield frame detailed in photos below. It's so cool to see a Jeep of this vintage look as good as it does.

The interior is original showing wear consistent with a Jeep of 28K miles. The seats are original, omfortable and in perfect condition. Notice the 6 digit odometer where it's got the digit to show when it hits 100K. It's so cool that Jeep was one of the first to do this. Rest assured when you drive this Jeep the first thing you'll notice how tight the steering is and it runs and drives incredibly. It's like you are back in time driving in 1985. The interior is all original and in great shape. The seats and carpet are perfect as is the dash. No rust anywhere under the carpet (many photos below). The soft top is in good shape though the stitching is pretty old. I'd suggest a new top for the next owner, ut better yet remove the top and keep it off as CJ's are meant to be.

The four wheel drive shifts smooth, t brakes very well and drives better than you'd expect it to. The dash controls all work from the windshield washer to the wipers, o the heater and vent with fans controls. It's got power steering and power brakes. It starts right up and runs great. No issues. So fun to drive. My wife says it's the nicest driving Jeep we've ever had and we have had a few. It's got brand new Goodyear Wrangler Radials on the original white steel wheels, he spare tire is it's original spare tire from 1982. Just changed the oil and checked all the fluids. Fly in and drive it home with zero worries.

Since it was stored in a Carport it's got a bit of surface rust in the leaf springs and engine block. I left these as they were and have not rattle-canned anything on this Jeep. Nothing to hide here. As you look through the picture you'll see just how nice and original the CJ is and determine if it's right for you. I love it but can't keep it as I don't have the room to store inside.
