Description

Up for auction is a well-maintained, nd owner car that looks and drives beautifully. This was Lexus's flagship and their initial attempt to break into the American luxury sedan market. The build quality of this car still amazes me. it wouldn't surprise me if this car made it to 350,000 miles+
CONDITIONCondition for this 23yr old car is really quite remarkable, ith wear typical of what you might expect for a car 5-10 years newer. Paint condition is probably high 6 to low 7 and interior condition is 7+. There are no major dents, ading, r peeling evident in the paint, owever there are minor door dings and 2-tone gray on the lower half shows signs of age. There is a small crack in the dashboard (see pic) on the passenger side and a 4-5" tear in the front passenger seat leather. Carpets are in great shape and even the original Lexus floor mats have held up very well.
This vehicle has never been in a major accident, lthough I was hit at low speed in 2005 which required the left front fender & hood to be repainted. The odometer stopped at 199,062 in fall of 2013 which you can see in the service history. I estimate current mileage at approx 210,000-215,000 since it's been our 3rd car for some time now.
All electrical & power options are in excellent working order. A/C blows ice cold and climate control works perfectly. Radio sounds great, D changer in the trunk works great and magazine is in good shape. The right front speaker may be blown but the Nakamichi sound is still there. All power options including power seats, ower mirrors, eat/mirror memory, ower windows, ower door locks, ower sunroof, nd cruise control all work perfectly. The fuel door release solenoid does sometimes fail but there's a manual door release in the trunk so I never bothered to fix it.
New rotors and pads approx 5000 miles ago, ew radiator, elts, oses, tc. approx 7000 miles ago. 3 of the 4 tires have 20% or less life remaining and one is <6 mos. old. Perfect timing forthe new owner to pick out a custom set of wheels and tires! The car tracks straight and rides smooth as silk on the highway. There is an occasional screeching sound from the front end on brake application which are worn strut rod bushings. The 4.0L V8 starts and runs perfectly and still no perceptible vibration at idle (a Lexus trademark). The smooth, orquey V8 power is as strong as ever and is mated to a new transmission (rebuilt circa 2010) that shifts smooth and solid.
HISTORYI purchased the car (on eBay) from the original owner in Dallas, exas and drove it back to Los Angeles spring 2004. The original owner purchased the car from Park Place Lexus in Plano, X where was dealer serviced until 2004, hen serviced at Lexology in Hermosa Beach, A going forward.
While not an exhaustive list, elow is most of the major work done in the last 5 years or so. I have all books and records since new available via scan/email upon request.
