This is a beautiful two owner classic Lincoln. I am listing this car on behalf of my girlfriend's father. He is an incredibly talented "car guy", ot a big computer guy. Iwill talk about the owner first as he has worked on cars, estored them& done custom interiors for years on many classic cars. He is Skip Starbird, wner of C & S Stitchworks, ut of Brighton, I.He currentlyfocuses mostly on custom interiors. Someof hisprevious clientele includes NFL Players, ohn Lingenfelter, anyclassic Lincoln owners& past work for Mobsteel custom car shop who recently have a realityshow on NBCSN.I will work with him toanswer all legitimate questions about the car in a quick manner. He is of course open to personal viewings of the car in Brighton, Iand also phone conversations to serious buyers. To be clear; I am not theowner, ut listingthe caron his behalfand all dealings with purchase (and shippingif necessary)will be done with the owner, kip Starbird,in Michigan. Please email with any questions and we will get them answered swiftly for you.
A quick note on the original owner. He was the owner of Gaylord printing out of Detroit, I. The caris, as,andalways has been stored in heated garages. When the original ownerpassed away in the early 90's, his car was purchased by the current owner, kip, s part of an estate closure.
Now for the car details. It was restored by the current owner starting in 1995 as an 18 month project. Everything was stripped down to bare metal. All interior, oors, ngine, ood, runk, verything was removed. It was painted from the bare metal up. One rust spot the size of a quarter was replaced with sheet metal on a right quarter panel. The car has NO rust. The interior leather was replaced with N.O.S. seat covers. The complete restoration is factory correct. The engine was completely rebuilt with new bearings, ings, iming chain, ears, askets, tc. The top assembly, otor, elays and switches have been reconditioned. All running gears, ransmission, teering, rakes, uspension system was rebuilt as well. It has the original factory undercoating on underside which is completely intact with no rust. All window parts and relays have been replaced or rehabbed. Before the restoration the previous owner put about 100,000 miles on the car. Since the restoration there has been only about 5,500 miles put on the car. There is a JVC cd player installed but the original radio will be included. All systems are functional except the heating core, hich is an easy fix, ut Skip never needed to use the heat in the car since this is show/collector car only. The current cost to do a completerestoration job like this would be about $70,000 to $80,000 according to Skip.
The carhas won numerous awards atevents over thepast 15 years. It was also a featured car 5 years ago at the closing of the Wixom Assembly Plant in the Detroit area where is was originally built. The carhas truly been Motor City area car its whole life. Please email with any questions, ommunication requests with Skip or for specific additional photos. Thanks so much and good luck!
