You are bidding on a 1977 Lincoln Continental Mk V, Bill Blass edition. It has been stored indoors at my place since 2006. It had street license plates from 2003, so it appears to have been a driver up to that time. It drove into my place on it's own power in 2006. It was acquired by me on a storage lien bond title. I have not tried to start the engine, as I believe it needs carburetor and fuel work after 10 years in storage. The tires don't hold air for a long time, but neither do I. I believe that with a little work, the mechanical Is in running condition. The VIN checks in on the web:
1 | Year | 7 | 1977 |
2 | Plant | Y | Wixom MI |
3-4 | Series | 89 | Lincoln Continental Mark V 2-door |
5 | Engine | A | V8 460-4v |
6-11 | Sequential Serial # | 864914 | 864914 |
Based on the condition of the interior, I believe that it has 66549 original miles. The exterior has rust indications on the paint, but no rust through spots. I do not know any more of the history. It is shown on a trailer to move it to review by the local authorities. The trailer is NOT part of the auction.
This is a real sweet piece of Detroit iron for some restorer. Give me a bid. Thanks.
