Description
First off thanks for looking at my Auction Page. I have a 1989 Lincoln Town Car SSE signature addition. This car is in awesome shape for this cars age. One small ding on the fender and a scrape on the bumper. other that that its really nice. Interior is good to nice and I have taken pictures of it. for its age the inside has held up well. Top dash is nice looking from the drivers seat but that drivers side speaker area is a little rough. Nothing that you can see driving it. I bought this car locally and thought it was a steal but as it turns out its not. this car would be a mechanics special. its going to take some time to make it a daily driver. I was hoping to use it as a work car but found something else and I am just trying to get some of my money back. I will be taking a loss but I will not let the new buyer get taken like i did. you will know everything I know and make your own call accordingly. The Good: You can tell by the pictures how nice and straight it is so I will be telling you the bad. The Bad: Rear Main is Leaking (Bad) Drivable but you will be adding oil every time you drive it. nbsp; Front main and timing cover gaskets are leaking but not bad. Oil pan looks good. Valve cover gaskets are fresh. Small PS leak easy fix. Transmission seems fine I drove it home 70 miles. (Still reading LOL) Will need a IAC $50 bucks. Top of the motor is very clean. Drivers side window needs a motor all of the others I think are fine I have not tried them. AC works Great . Heat is out. Heater care change or flush is required. Tires are good for the time being like I said I drove it home and it was smooth. So with that said lets run down parts and repair. Rear Main Gasket. Oil Pan gasket. Front main and timing cover gasket. $60IAC $45 bucksHeater Core: $40 Bucks 8 HrsThese 6 items would put this car on the road . $150 in parts and fluid and a weekend. The previous seller was mistaken on the miles he said it had about 135K turns out its probably a lot more due to what I see under the car. Running gear. brakes. front end seem solid. I don't see or hear anything bad driving it. but this morning I went to start it and it will not start. either just a battery or starter i have not looked closer. With that being said I will include a 302 short block ( Non Roller) minus heads. motor had 4500 miles on it been sitting on my stand for a couple of years. it was pulled because there was a vibration not sure if it was the motor or trans. should be pulled apart and reassembled anyway because its been sitting. I will also include a 1990 Crown Vic Roller block just a bare block. Had a 130K on it. Just because I have one to give you. pulled it out of the car myself. I am not trying to make any money on this car just trying to move this car along and look for something I do not have to work on. I have enough projects and not much time anymore. I have a mechanic ( My Mechanic) That said he would fix it but I am just not into this car like I was when I bought it. I pictured a hot rod Lincoln and all that stuff but I soon realized it was not going to happen. My loss truly will be some ones gain. Please ask any questions and I will take more pictures if needed. I will also add any updates as I go. this car will stay listed until it sells. ThanksOn Apr-12-15 at 07:18:25 PDT. seller added the following information: Thanks again for looking at my auctions. /p>I have gone under the hood this morning. Battery and Alternator appear new. Battery is at 12VDC and looks fine. I am guessing because of the oil leak and it blowing under the car it has shorted the Starter out. Very common in V8 ford cars with this issue. Thanks. On Apr-12-15 at 07:44:24 PDT. seller added the following information:Just added 3 more pictures to this auction. One picture is off the bare 302 Block ( roller motor ) and the other 2 pictures are off the short block I am throwing in if this auction meets reserve. Please understand that I will be taking the valve covers. Heads . Intake and timing cover off this motor before it leaves my house. However I do have 4 sets of heads under my workbench that the buyer is wiling to pick threw and buy if they choose to. ThanksOkay if your still with me I have relisted this car for what I need to get out of it at a minimum. Same Deal same car. same listing. I will however just leave the heads on the 302 I am throwing in. plus I have 4 or 5 sets of heads 289 and 302 that I am tossing in also. The rundown is Car. Spare 302 ( non roller ) minus intake and timing cover. Spare bare block ( 302 roller ) 4 or 5 sets of heads 289 and 302. Contact me thru ebay email and lets move this car. I am taking a $650 dollar loss at the buy it now. Thanks Mike
