Description

A friend of the family has owned this car for over 40 years.
This car has been sitting in a climate controlled warehouse for the last 30 plus years.
It is all there ! This is the Lincoln continental with the knight on the grill and the original continental spare tire on the back. This car had a gm v8 installed in the late 60's or early 70's.
The transmission is a column shift 3 speed. The interior is in amazing condition !
All we did was clean it with soap & water, the vinyl is soft & supple
The foam in the seats is in great soft condition. The interior really needs nothing
unless your going for museum quality restoration. The car rolls easily, the tires hold air.
The emergency brake works. The car will need the engine rebuilt or replaced, the brakes & clutch
will need rebuilt or replaced & the car will need paint unless a person wants the rat rod look.
Most of the chrome is pitted, the back bumper is peeling.But all the chrome is there ! even the lower pieces we have seen missing on a restored car for sale.
Most people have never seen one of these in person in full complete condition, they are pretty rare.
Basic restored ones are going for 26k super nice frame off are going for upwards of double that.Clear Texas Title comes with the car ! We will not show the car just for the heck of it because everyone
wants to see it that loves old cars. There will be a 200$ cash deposit to view the car in Fort Worth Texas
76114 zip code. That deposit is 50% refundable if a person does not buy the car. If the car is purchased the full 200 $ goes towards the sale price. It takes cash in person to buy this car.

We are not professional car people with lots of knowledge of these cars or 48 lincolns.
What we know is in this ad, The body is super straigh, there is old under coating that seems
to have protected the car very wel, the body does not appear to have ever been hit.
We didn't find any bondo up under the back side of the fenders so it's not a hidden
patch job, there is some surface rust in places, the floors are super strong & do not
need any attention, the carpet is in excellent condition like the rest of the interior.
The push button doors are super cool & shut amazing with no dragging.
If buyer is local the seller will pay for a ride when buyer gets the car on the road.
We would like to get photos & a ride in it one day.
If we had the tim, spac, knowledge and funds we would like to restore the car. This car is for sale locally & can sell at anytime.We reserve the right to end this auction if the car sells.
