Description

1963 Lincoln Continental Convertible. Reasonable LOW RESERVE!RUST FREE Nice and Presentable Driver Condition Car.White with Teal leather interior. Here's the story on the car. A friend of mine and I found this car in a warehouse in Ocala, Florida recently. This is a one owner car. The car has been in Ocala, Florida it's entire life (Ocala, FL is in the upper middle part of the state hours away from the ocean). The car went through a full restoration roughly 6 to 7 years ago from what we we're told and from what it looks like. The car was originally Teal on Teal and was painted White. From the pictures of the car when we originally saw it for the first time (this picture are towards the end of the series of picture), the interior looked rough with all of the dust on the car because the convertible top was left down. But as you can see in the pictures now, the car turned out to have brand new condition leather interior throughout the entire car. The front and rear seats have no rip, cracks or issues. The carpets are Teal as well and are also in fairly nice condition. The re paint seems to have been done professionally throughout the car although there are now some slight wear and small paint flaws in a few places on the trunk lid area, bottom right quarter panel and a small spot in the front top right fender area. The paint flaw is just some small paint bubbling and it doesn't seem to be caused from rust (see pictures for unclose shots). The exterior chrome bumpers, bumper ends, stainless peak trim (except from 1 small little finger nail size impression which is kind hidden), door handles, front and rear Lincoln emblems along with any outside chrome or stainless is in great condition and shows well. All 4 doors line up absolutely perfect and are as straight as can be. The door gaps one of the nicest I've seen on a suicide door 60's Lincoln. The cars lines from front to back on the passenger side and drivers side are absolutely perfect. Pictures and videos will showcase it well. All 4 windows along with the 2 automatic vent windows work with no problems. Convertible top works but needed servicing which we have done. The Convertible top is Tan and is presentable with no rips or stains but the rear plastic window is no good due to it sitting for so long so the clear window is now brown. An interior vendor can replace the rear window and button up the top a little to avoid having to replace the whole convertible top because it's not that bad but a brand new top would be ideal for a nicer and newer look (they cost anywhere between $500 to $850). There are no rust issues anywhere on this car. Even from the previous restoration, you can tell the undercarriage was in great shape and there are no issues with the floor boards, wheels wells or anywhere on the car.
Improvements, service and repairs done to the car:-A matching set of Lincoln tires that were road worthy came off of another nice un restored 64 Lincoln Convertible and we're placed on the car. Although the tires we're fine on the car, with it sitting for over 5 years, we did not want to risk and tire issues so they were replaced.
-All headlight, tail light and parking light bulbs were checked and/or replaced to ensure all of them are working properly.
-The car had a crack in the windshield so the windshield was removed from the car as you can see in the pictures. An original 63 nice replacement windshield arrives on Tuesday and will be professionally installed.
-The Convertible top flapper motor and gears needed servicing and will be reinstalled back on the car on Tuesday as well. The convertible top works great and there are no issues. Just needed servicing to ensure it was in good working order.
-For the engine, the engine oil, radiator fluid and transmission oil was changed. New spark plugs and wires, new air filter, and the rest of the motor was inspected. Starts, runs, driver and shifts smooth with no issue. It's in good overall mechanical and electrical condition mostly likely due to the recent restoration.
-Car was professionally detailed inside and out to get the 5 years of dust off the car.
Upon Request:I would be more than happy to email or text you an in-depth walk around video of the car to see it in much better up close detail if your not satisfied with the pictures. I point out andfocus in on the few paint flaws that I mention in the text abovealong with seeing how straight the car is and even getting in to the wheel wells to see that there is no rust of holes of any sort. Or I can take any specific pictures of the car that you would like to see that might not be in the ebay auction listing.
