This is very solid mostly original old car that is a blast to drive. It is a factory Raven Black car with original gold interior. The engine is the factory 462 cubic inch V8 paired with the original 3-speed automatic transmission. This car is equipped with air conditioning, ower steering, nd power brakes. Goodrich Silvertown Wide Whitewall Radial tires (225/70R14s) The Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum is the fitting location for many of our photos of this American favorite, he 1962 Lincoln Continental. Be sure to visit our friends at the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas, exas. The exterior display all original sheetmetal underneath an older driver-quality repaint of the original Raven Black finish. The body is actually quite straight and the paint is decent. There are a number of chips and imperfections on close inspection.
The Lincoln has had a new alternator and electric fuel pump installed. You can see the paint is not perfect when you inspect it. A professional polished and wax would do a lot for this finish. The brightwork shows well front to back. This is the worst area of the paint, frazzled area behind the passenger doors that runs along this area shown above. Open the doors to 1962. You could order a '62 Continental in a two-door hardtop, our-door sedan, r a four-door convertible. This example rides on its factory wheels & wheel covers, ut was recently fitted with expensive updated B.F. Goodrich Silvertown Wide Whitewall radial tires. These tires ride great and are PERFECT for this automobile. The interior is original and intact throughout. The mileage of 60,564 is believed original to this car, lthough we have no mileage logs or documentation. The power windows are functional as are the gauges. The dash displays all original instrumentation and controls, own to the AM radio. The steering wheel is original and in very good condition as are the door panels. This is just a great old interior that is intact throughout. Under the hood is the smooth running & correct 462 cubic inch 4bbl. V8. The engine compartment displays factory components such as air conditioning, riginal breather assembly, ower steering pump, nd various components. The sheetmetal is original throughout the firewall, nner fenders and core support. This is a good solid car. The undercarriage further reiterates the solid dry-climate condition of this Lincoln. The flooring and framework is intact throughout. The trunk is excellent and original, itted with the spare tire/wheel,jacking equipment, nd original mat. We also have a service manual for this Lincoln. We also have some spare original parts included. The trim identification plate is also intact and legible.
