1989 NISSAN PAO with 18. 00 original miles. Excellent original condition. This is the cleanest most original Pao I have seen in many years. An adorable right hand drive grocery getter that gets over 40mpg and carries the reliable nissan logl! This would be a GREAT all around town car. a show stopper at car shows attracting waves. grins. and endless comments. It was originally imported into Canada several years ago where the restrictions are less than here in the USA where a car like this must be 25 years old to respect DOT and EPA laws. This is 100% totally legal and in this condition with such low mileage will last for years. Cruises reliably at up to 55-60 MPH without straining the engine. this car was originally designed for limited space in big Japanese cities. It was one of 3 models designed and built by Nissan to solidify their desire to be known as "original thinkers not trapped in the copycat box" which Japanese makers were accused of for years. Sold by lottery only. it was less than 90 days before they were all sold. and only 51000 were ever made. Many made it to the UK. where parts are readily available and easily obtained. The Pao shares the same mechanical platform as the Nissan Micra. which was sold in Canada for several years. It has:Very RARE removable "Picnic" radio that works perfectly inside OR outside the car. The radio band is different in Japan so fewer stations on the bandwidth are available than would be the case if it was a US built car. Bandwidth modifiers ARE available for less than $20 in the UK since they share ours!!!ICE cold air conditioning. Blows cold and works admirably for a tiny little engine! Heater works well too. Full retractable electric sunroof. Works well. and does not leak. Canvas condition is excellent. looks to be original. 4 BRAND new NANKANG 12 inch radial tires. Great ventilation!!Pop up rear window with working hydraulic shock/fold down tailgate and trunk area in perfect shape. Original spare. Imperfections: Tiny spot on drivers seat. Hardly visible to naked eye. Since it is a woven material I did not want to try anything abrasive on it. Slight touch up on lower passenger rear quarter panel. to help mask a chip in the paint. Scuff mark on a small portion of far left rear quarter where clear coat has been compromised. Not visible at 5 feet. Luggage rack on roofhas minor scuffing and discoloration around mounting screws. This car is RUST FREE. It has NEVER been driven in winter. stored near the ocean. or used but in very limited outings to carshows or the summer Sunday drive. My local Nissan dealer has wanted this car for his showroom for quite a while. It's easily serviced. easy to drive. fun and a little overthe top as far as attention getting goes. and it's certainly something I no longer need!!!
