This is a project that I drove with no issues for 7k while I upgraded the suspension, teering, raking system. The engine was built by Flying Miata (previously known as The Dealer Alternative as seen on the receipt). It was driven ~2k by the PO (who was in the military, o he did not have a chance to drive it much) over the next few years without any issues. I drove it another ~5k until I was driving around town and stopped at a gas station and it would not restart, he timing belt skipped so I planned on doing the belt. The compression was checked and it was good across all cylinders. While preparing to do the belt, decided to overhaul the car - the turbo was too large for my liking so I have parted out the Full Race kit and invested in a ARtech turbo kit. I wasn't going to cut any corners so I have a lot of quality parts on this car or intended for the car. Unfortunately, bought several other cars during this time which took project priority. I am moving and can't take this car with me.
If you have more time than money and wrenching skills and want to part the car for me, 'd love to keep the steering, uspension/stiffening components, rakes, nd rear end- we could work something out possibly for you to keep the Engine, rans, hell.
Car as-is alone: $4000
I understand that this may seem high, lthough the suspension components, illet diff, rakes, re all high dollar parts - not even considering the engine build. Consider it a roller with to build up or to transfer parts from.
Body ~180k, as some quarter panel rust that was bubbling through, poked around to see the extent of it and bought inner and outer replacement panels which I could include in sale.
