Description

This listing is for a 1991 Mazda Miata. K.I.S.S. with manual top, anual transmission, nd manual seats, nbsp;windows and locks. It appears to be a Package A car, ith optional A/C andtonneau cover. According to Miata.net, 91 A Package cars have power steering, nd a leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter boot.
A well-used Miata could be the perfect fun car for its future owners who want a care-free car to make errands/commuting fun or for a night out with their significant other. The normal wear and tear on the exterior and interior makes parking on the street a worry-free experience, nd the simple top and trim prevent vintage electronics from letting you down when looking forward to a night out.
OurMiata has been family-owned for the past six years. It was bought in Florida and garage-kept with occasional fair weather use. In that time the radiator, dle Air Control motor, attery, urn signal relay, our new tires (Falken ZE 912's high-performance all seasons to prevent major flat spotting during storage), nstrument panel hood (Mazda OEM), hifter turret rebuild kit from Moss, eather shifter boot, aked shorty radio antenna, and Hella H4 headlamps with 55/60 watt bulbs have been installed on the car.
The suspension appears original with an open differential. This leaves a blank slate for the car's future owner to decide the car's focus; casual cruiser or canyon carver?
Pros: Florida car has little to no rust, nd with less than 117,000 miles, ess than 5,000 miles per year since new. The engine appears leak-free and starts reliably. The manual transmission is bolt-action direct after rebuilding the shifter turret. The less-is-more specifications gives a timeless appearance. Great interior, herefuture owners will spend most of their time. The seatcushions are in great condition with minimal wear. The glass is chip-free. Under the battery isminimal oxidation (see photo 16). The vinyl top is tear-free and keeps most water out. There are no cigarette odors. Tires have plenty of life left in them. The aftermarket radio has extra channels if the future owners would like to add the headrest speakers. While this car does not havethat option, ith the zippered headrests, uture ownercould add the speakers should they wish with the current head unit. The factory "R/C car" antenna has been replaced with a more modern shorty, aked antenna that can be unscrewed forstorage under a car cover.
Less than perfect: Florida car has some sun-faded paint with stone chips and minor scratches, hazy rear window with two patches that appear to keep water out. If we kept the car longer, e would have liked to have replaced the roof with an "NB" Miata glass window. The A/C system, hile complete, oes not currently work. The compressor shuts off after a minute or so. The driver's seat has a minor tear on the door-side sidebolster and both seats have faded to charcoalinstead of black. With the transmission in gear and under way, here's an occasional chirping noise that stops when the clutch is depressed or the car is in neutral.
