Description

I'm selling my 1990 Mazda Miata with a 383 stroker engine. It needs a little work but my bad back is preventing me from fixing it so I am letting it go.
This is not a kit car. It is a prototype engineered and fabricated from a very nice donor by Pieper Engineering. The car was completely disassembled. New ball joints
and new Spax coil overs were installed.
All the body parts were cleaned, ealed, rimed and painted Miata Silver by Schmidtke Auto Body.
The Engine was built Grawmanbecks, well known street and race engine builder.
The transmission was rebuilt and the factory weak parts were replaced by Crawford Ent.
The rear end is part of a conversion package from Martin Wilson Mfg.
The Miata draws a lot of attention at car shows. It is a nice driver and handles well. The donor car was involved in a minor accident in 2001 (shows up on a carfax report)
but there was no apparent evidence when the car was completely disassembled. The car was computer aligned after assembly and castor, amber and toe for all 4 corners
were within factory guidelines (I have the print out).
The engine, rans, rive shaft and suspension components are either new or rebuilt 3,800 miles ago.
The rear end was obtained from a salvage yard, isassembled and checked out OK when the posi-traction was installed.

Top was in bad condition (rear window zipper broken) and has been removed. It can be bolted back in with little problems.
Even though the engine is built it was never raced. The car was mainly a show car and has many wins.
All the bracketry and fabrication was done by Pieper Engineering
So, hat's wrong with it:
3/4 clutch is gone. Estimates of $1200-$1400 at local shop.
The timing cover has a leak
The car runs rich and needs a good tune up
The zipper on the top is bad (top has been taken off)
There is an issue with the paint bubbling /cracking on the front fenders in a narrow strip by the headlights.
I was working on these issues but back pain has stopped me. If I do get someone else to fix them I will adjust the price of the car as work is completed. Now is a
good time to steal the car before I have completed what I need to fix. This could be a super nice car if a little time was put into it.
I am the worst at taking pictures and videos. The first video has a smudge on the lens and the second is being killed by the bright sun. Hopefully you can see a little bit about the car. The first five pictures and first video were taken during the summer. The rest were taken just a couple of weeks ago. The driver's side mirror was removed (it was a little loose) and has not been put back on it most of the pictures.
I am a very honest guy and have zero reasons to hide anything about the condition of this vehicle. I would rather lose a little bit of money than to try to deceive anyone about the car so just ask if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them.
