Our seller has decided to part with his faithful 280 SL after 42 years of caring ownership.This "Pagoda Top" Mercedes is ready to enjoy from the moment it arrives at your home.
It was built for the US market and as such, t has both soft convertible and factory hardtop. The soft top may be the original. It is tan in color. It will need work and need to be replaced. It is also equipped with the Automatic transmission. The factory radio is not installed and will need to be replaced.
This is a very solid, nrestored, riginal example with an excellent ownership history. It is an excellent driver quality 280SL that could be enjoyed at the "casual" show level. We highlighted cosmetic flaws in the photos.
Our seller states that this SL has never had rust. It has had one repaint over 30 years ago and we can not verify the condition of the body prior to repaint. It has only been used for pleasure, n fair weather conditions, nd never in winter. It has had a recent oil change by a local Mercedes dealer (where our seller always took his cars for service). The original books are included.
