This is an excellent example of a 1973 450SL Mercedes-Benz with Highly Desirable and Extremely Rare Factory European Square Headlights and Short Front and Rear Factory Bumpers. Has Undergone a Recent Body-On Restoration with New Paint and Interior. Headliner is Brand New As Well. This Mercedes Comes With 2 Tops, ith the Convertible Auxiliary Top in Perfect Condition.The Rear Window for the Aux. Top is also in Perfect Condition. Very Low Original Miles with Family Ownership since New. I had entered this vehicle into the Mecum Auction, here it fetched a No-Sale price of $13,500. The Current Fair Market Value for this car is $25,000. I believe the reason it brought a low bidding amount is due to 3 main reasons:1.- I didn't have the hard top at the auction, o that hurt the value since the auction company would not allow me to advertise it as a 2 top car. 2. - The Dashboard was coming off (Fixed by MBZ Motors since then)3. - Was a late entry and was one of the last vehicles to pass through the auction block on the last day of the auction.
