Up for auction is the second W124 250TD (Touring Diesel) 5-speed wagon I have shipped from Belgium to the USA. This beautiful classic Mercedes was originally delivered to Italy. There it was bought by a Mercedes enthusiast who set his mind on bringing her to his country, he Netherlands. Before delivery he had the seats re-upholstered with fine Italian black leather after which the car was shipped and imported into the Netherlands where it was mechanically gone through to pass the very strict road worthy/ safety test needed in order to register it. No major repairs were needed, eing such a low kilometer vehicle. All rubber underneath, all joints, earings, xle boots etc are in good shape and have no play. Brakes are perfect. I purchased it in May and drove it all over Europe for summer, n my surfing trip to Portugal, nd put 20.000 km on it without any problems. No A/C like most European cars but hey, t's white and has a huge sun-roof! It shifts good, rives very straight, oesn't use or leak oil, nd gets 37 mpg depending on your foot. Starts up on half a turn, ven in freezing temperatures. I love it. But don't need it as I have a Cummins truck here in the USA, nd a Porsche. I shipped this wagon because it's worth more here than in the Netherlands, ven though it's very, ery rare to find a practically rust-free one like this. Paint looks very good with normal wear and tear for the age, t has of course small dings, cratches and minor imperfections as is to be expected for a 30 year old car. The left rear door has been replaced with an original paint white door as the old one had a dent in it. That's why it has darker tint on the window. The Michelins all have good tread, ne is a little dry but still in great shape. No cracks in the dash or the seats. Very clean carpet. There is one nickel-sized rust spot on the right rear quarter panel, nd a very small spot on one of the doors near the window, ther than that the car is virtually rust free even in all the usual area's prone to rust on the W124 body. I have researched this extensively and know by heart where these cars rust! Photo's of these areas are available in the photobucket page. The middle vent works, ut the round adjuster knob is a little pushed in. New Mercedes battery. New fuel filters. Power front windows, ew hitch which is rare, eautiful leather seats. Clear Arizona title in my name. I just registered it after picking it up in port Hueneme, A. California residents be advised; it may be hard to title in California and Hawaii due to EPA regulations, lthough there are people who manage to do it. One has to go to a test lab and get an EGR installed or bribe someone. For all other states there is no problem titling it and it will pass smog with flying colours. (the car is as they call it "48 state-legal") I can deliver the Benz for a fee, nd a flight back to LA. I won't hesitate to drive it cross country, ut can assist with finding a shipper as well. For questions please call 3109867802. VIN in listing is not actual VIN. Ebay doesn't accept the European VIN so I used one of another Mercedes just to be able to list it. THIS IS THE ACTUAL VIN: wdb124185f012335

On Mar-20-16 at 10:11:37 PDT, eller added the following information:I forgot to mention, he hatch has small dings and there are parts of the car that have been touched up. It took me months to notice, hite doesn't show. I get complimented on the car all the time still. Lots of original paint still but have to mention. Front clip is flawless, ust have been re-painted by a European painter:) No signs of former damage at all. May have been a deer or so as it has a brand new hood. The key to the ignition doesn't operate doors. The key to the doors only operates driver door. However, he automatic locks work perfect. If you are interested in owning a manual, ucleair war-proof vehicle this is it. If you miss out, on't worry I will be back in Europe in July to help find the diesel you want. This trip I am thinking a 300GD...
