Here is a great opportunity to purchase a clean, all original, unmolested sample of a classic Mercedes Benz. Mercedes Coupe models have always been sought after as they were produced in far less quantity than the sedan models. This coupe can be used daily or taken from this very clean and original state and made into a very easily restored classic for years to come.
The exterior of the car looks great finished in the original black paint. The body is straight and the entire car is rust free. The chrome and exposed metal trim is clean, smooth and shows zero signs of salt air exposure. The paint on the hood has "checked" due to sun exposure. Its hard to show in photographs; it looks similar to the hairline cracks in thin ice. The hood will need to be painted. This is not uncommon for paint of this age in the desert; what is uncommon is that the paint is all original; hard to come by for this age of vehicle. All the glass is in good order, thewindshieldmay have sign of minor damage from road debris.
The interior of this car is also very clean for age. The leather is in nice condition with the exception of the upper outer bolster and bottom center pieces of the drivers seat which show more wear. I am looking into repairing the drivers seat and will update the listing as if anything changes. The wood is in very nice condition as well. The center console pieces have the typical hair line cracks you would expect to find in a vehicle this age; however, there are no major cracks or broken wood pieces. The upper dash wood and door pieces are in great condition. The dashboard and all other panels are free from any cracks. The black interior is stunning against the black exterior and wood trim. The operation of all features are working as designed. Every window, two way power sunroof,vacuumlocks, cruise control, are in perfect working order. Allgaugesand indicator lights all work as designed and there are no lights indicating the need or attention to any problem. The AC is cold and the heater is hot!
Mechanically speaking this car appears to have been well taken care of . All fluids are clean and there are no major or minor leaks that I am aware of. The fans and cooling system are working well even in the high heat we have been experiencing in Phoenix. The cars runs and drives out great! The transmission shifts as it should with smooth but distinct up and down shifting. Please feel free to call, text or write with any specific questions you may have or pictures you would need. Car has just passed state inspection very well. A service has just been completed with new oil and filter, air filter, drive belt and other minor maintenance. This car is ready to go anywhere.
