Description

Information about the car..

I am selling my 1970 250, this car itself is very special to me since I drove it to work in the summer for a few years, and has had very good care. The engine has been completely overhauled 5 yrs ago and has about 3,000 miles on it the transmission is a 4 speed manual . The clutch and pressure plate have been replaced along with the crankshaft gear and cam shaft gear and distributor gear shaft. The head values were reground during the engine overhaul. The exhaust system is new and the water pump is new and the alternator is a rebuild. The Carburetors were sent to a rebuild company in Florida. There is no reserve on this car.

Exterior--

Dark green paint has probably been painted in the past, howeverit still holds a great shine. As one would expect there are a few scuffs and scratches here and there but nothing at all major. This car’s former owners took very good care of it.

Interior --

Very good condition no rips or tears, the wood dash is in outstanding condition. Very visually appealing original interior. The carpet on the drivers side is damaged and in poor condition and would need replacing The headliner is in great shape and the sun visors work with no tears.

Mechanically--

Since I've owned this car I have rebuilt the engine replacing the rod and main bearing and piston rings. The water pump is new and a rebuilt alternator installed. The clutch disc, throw out and pressure plate are new. The exhaust system is new and the carburetors have been rebuilt by a shop in Florida. Fuel lines have been cleaned out as well as the gas tank. Both carburetors have been completely taken apart and timed. The car has had a new head gasket kit seal put in. I have new door seals for the front doors I have spent over 2,000 dollars in rebuild and misc repairs.

The car runs and drives great and has been driven although not very much in the last few years. As within any old car up keep is needed and there will always be something to keep up on. I would suggest that a Mercedes dealership do an engine checkBut with proper care this car is only going to appreciate in value. I would be keeping it if I still drove it but I am selling my storage garage/ shop and I just won't have the garage space. Questions welcomed.
