1979 Mercedes Benz 450 SL Convertible and it includes the hard top The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well maintained. RUST FREE! The paint on the car is factory color of Signal Yellow and is in very nice condition and looks almost as good as the day in rolled of the lot. A brand new soft top was installed only two years ago. The hard top that comes with the 450 SL is in excellent shape. All chrome trim. glass. and rubber seals are in great shape. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. The tires are new. It has a recent front end alignment. everything checked out OK. The suspension is very tight and feels solid. Two years ago it had a brand new air conditioner compressor. Mechanically. this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. Many Mercedes experts and mechanics stand behind the 4. 5L as the best engine Mercedes ever made. It is reliable. easy to fix. and parts are readily available. The oil pressure is always at maximum. Even the cruise control works excellent. The radio works great and the antenna goes up like it should. Can you image the clock even works correctly. The interior is in great shape all around. The Leather seats are all in very good condition. The dash is crack free; the door panels are in excellent shape and the hardware. The carpets are all very nice and have been professionally cleaned. All dials and controls function as they should; two years ago the power window motor was replaced. so they are fully functional. All in all. this is one very clean SL and has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. who owned it for the last 19 years. I took this to many car shows and I have always won first place. I am a collector and only reason that I’m selling this 450 SL I plan on moving to Florida in the near future. so I am selling some of my collection to give up some of my rental space. Whoever purchases this car you will be completely satisfied because I completely maintain my classics to the highest standards. All my cars are stored in a heated garage for the winter. And believe it or not I’m going to let this beautiful 450 SL go to a new owner.
