This is a low mileage 1 owner example of the extremely rare 350SDL which was only made for a couple of years at the end of the Classic Mercedes W126 chassis production. It is also the even rarer black with black leather color combination which is much sought after. You would be hard pressed to find another example in this type of excellent condition with 1 owner and sold locally in a dry rust free state. The exterior is in excellent condition with original black paint. It has been garaged always both at the owners house and work. The paint has only a few small paint chips that detract from its deep factory shine. It is in exceptional condition for its age. The chrome is all in great shape as well with no damage. The interior is entirely original and again in exceptional condition from careful use and being garaged on the dash. the dashtop and wood are crack free and do not have sun damage. The original leather seats are in very good condition with no damage. just the regular patina from light use. The headliner is perfect and the carpet is nice with the original factory mats in place. Mechanically it is just as nice. The car has always had it's oil changed on time by its fastidious owner. Recently it recieved new brakes as well as ball joints to keep everything in top order. The orginal wheels are shod with Michelin tires. It runs very well and drives very well. There are no signs of any mechanical difficulties. It drives smoothly. shifts perfectly and does not pull to either side upon braking. As you can see in the picture of the instrument cluster when the car was running. It has great oil pressure. does not run hot and there are no warning lights present on the dash. In summary. while there is absolutely no perfect 24 year old car out there. this is an exceptional example of a very rare and sought after Mercedes 126 S Class Sedan. You would be hard pressed to find a better car. especially for the money. A reasonable reserve has been set. however.
