Description

For sale is my personal 1988 560SL Roadster finished with the desirable black exterior and black interior. The Exterior has no dents or dings. It has been driven just 107k miles since New. I have owned this car since 1994 when in had approximately 21k miles. I have always kept the car in the garage. Both the hard top and the convertible top are in excellent condition as shown in the pictures. The V8 engine is strong. does not smoke or make unusual noises and the transmission shifts as it should through all the gears. The steering is tight and precise and the brakes are solid - front pads and rotors were last replaced at ~95k miles. There are approximately 11k miles on the Michelin MXV4 Tires. The car is ready to drive anywhere and is really a pleasure to drive. If I had an extra garage spot I would probably keep it. The interior is very nice - the leather seats have been covered with sheepskins. as seen in some of the photos. as long as I've had the car. The photos of the seats make it look like the leather is cracking. but it just reflections of the natural grain. There are no tears or cracks in the leather and only minimal wear on the rest of the interior. The sheep skins will come with the car if desired. There are no cracks in the dash. Included with the car are a hard top holder. hard top cover. and full car cover. Prior to my purchase of the car there was some body damage to the front left which was professionally repair prior to my purchase. This does not show up on the Autocheck but I thought I would be best to disclose it. The only indications you could find of the repair is non-factory paint-lines under the hood. The air conditioner is currently not cooling. The system holds freon. but the compressor clutch is slipping. You could repair this by replacing only the clutch. but given the age of the compressor it might be a better value to replace the whole compressor - I have left this decision to the next owner. If you have any questions. please feel free to call me - Ted - 865-408-9936 Eastern Time. The pictures don't do the car justice - while not a show car. it is really sharp. and one of the drivers out there. My reserve is very reasonable - please do not call and make offers. just bid!
