This S-Class sedan continues to have the reputation of being the best-selling, most successful, S-Class model of all time. Mercedes-Benz introduced many new, exciting features on this S-Class, many of which are now standard equipment on modern vehicles. This 420SEL features a crumple-zone enabled chassis: the industry’s first, and also a novel 5 mph spring-loaded, front-facing bumper that will absorb energy and prevent the vehicle from sustaining damage in low impact, low-speed collisions. Among other safety features, this S-Class introduces seatbelts for all seats, antilock brakes, a driver’s seat airbag, and a passenger’s seat airbag.

The V8 engine in this car runs smoothly and is very quiet. The engine is quick to accelerate and is able to easily maintain highway speeds, emphasizing its role as a long-distance comfort vehicle.

The exterior features a special edition Midnight-Blue paint, which is original from the manufacturer, with original chrome accents surrounding the windows and door handles.
