Description

1968 Mercedes Benz 280SE Cabriolet Conversion
This 280se started life as a Coupe and was expertly converted to a Cabriolet. The Conversion appears to have been executed using original Mercedes Benz parts. (The previous owner stated the Conversion was done in Germany during the 1970's but there is no documentation to support the claim.) I have a 280se Cabriolet (not for sale) in my personal car collection. I parked the cars side by side and hard a hard timedistinguishingmuch, if any, difference.
I personallydrove (andphotographed) this 280se for over 100 miles. I recently drove this 280sealong the 35 MileHistoricOrmond Scenic Loop and Trail. The "Loop" is a scenic drive along A1A and through a couple state parks. The route provides plenty curves and long stretches of road to properly test drive a car. The Mercedes was a blast to drive and performed flawlessly. Of course, the Mercedes surely received a lot of attention, questions and thumbs up during our 35 mile excursion.
