Description

This is a very nice, clean, extremely low mileage 1968 220D Mercedes-Benz. The original window sticker (included) price was $4775 from a dealer in Santa Ana, California.
The Las Vegas owner sold the car in 2002 to a person in Maine, then we bought the car in 2006. By all records it has been stored inside the entire time. This car runs perfectly and is like driving a time machine back to when this was a luxury car.
The car has original paint except for minor repairs along the way. We are in Illinois, and even garaged the humidity has caused a few small rust spots. The photos show all the defects we are aware of. The back headliner is loose and there are some wear spots on the inside molding. The rubber molding shows its age. The fuel gauge hangs up-we think the problem is at the tank. The interior is beautiful and window cranks and other details operate as they should. The coco mats were added by the last owner. This is an unrestored, as close to original car as you can find anywhere that you will be proud to own and drive. James Bond certainly enjoyed one like it. There are no cracks or rips in the seats, door panels or dash. It gets astounding mileage according to the owner's manual (included), depending on your speed. (35mpg+)
Aftermarket CD player put in by the last owner. All the displays work, but a wire connection is loose so you can't hear it. The heater works fine although this car does not have AC. Comes with manuals and a few spare parts picked up along the way.
This car is in remarkable condition. Buy with confidence, a collector's dream. Don a blonde beehive wig and apply heavy eye liner. Then accessorize with fake diamonds, a long cigarette holder, and opera length black gloves and you are good to go on Cruise night!
Sold as is with no warranties, no second chance offers, or scams. Will assist in shipping this car. Available for local viewing on the premises in west central Illinois.
