Legendary Mercedes-Benz Roadster.
This is a wonderfulexample of a 1980's Mercedes Benz roadster. Known for their bulletproof reliability and amazing touring manner. The 380SLs are a true classic vehicle.
This 380SL is an outstanding value. It has a Silver Blue Metallic exterior and a Blue MB Tex interior. The exterior is in wonderful condition. The soft top was recently replaced with the new one. Paint is very presentable, it shines and shimmers. No rust bubbles on the paint in the typical areas. Very solid underbody and has no structural rust concerns. The interior is in great condition with slight signs of wear. The MB Tex seats are still firm and supportive. The carpets and console are in great condition as well. The few imperfections we saw are capturedin the photos.
Most recently this SL has had a fully synthetic oil and filter change. The technician noted slight oil wetness around the engine that isconsistentwith a vehicle of this age. In addition, the A/C system worksintermittently because of the faulty controller. It is functional, but sometimes does not work. We have a quote to replace controller. Comprehensive maintenance work was recently done as well and included new spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. Also, catalytic converters checked OK and middle and rear mufflers were both replaced as well, along with new oxygen sensors.
This 380SL is in wonderful running condition thanks to how it was maintained throughout the years and most recent services. It looks great, engine runs great, transmission shifts perfect and it tracks the road like a Mercedes.
