1980 Mercedes Benz 240GDI purchased this truck 4 years ago. and swapped the 4 cyl. engine with a Mercedes 300 Turbo Diesel 5 cyl. engine. I drove this truck for two years as a daily driver. nbsp;and then stored it 2 years ago. It started right up recently. The truck has a small oil leak on the oil cooler return line. It will cruise on the highway at 70+ mph. nbsp;even on inclines. The speedometer cable is broken. and the odometer reads 99. 64 km. nbsp;but the odometer turns over at every 99. 9k kilometers. Therefor. the true mileage of this truck is unknown. There is some rust on the corner panels. and some paint bubbling on the fender and door. The truck is a two seat vehicle. with a larger cargo area. This is a Rare and extremely capable Truck! If you are in the least familiar with this vehicle. you know of its incredible off road capacity. and extreme rarity. This Mercedes is 35 years old. and so is the comfort level of this model. This drives like a truck. and the convertible roof. although in great condition. makes the interior very loud at highway speeds. I do not recommend that you drive this vehicle home from my location. since it has been sitting for so long. A $500. 00 deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction end. with the balance due via cash. or cashier's check. within 7 days. All sales are final. and this vehicle is being sold As Is. without warranty!
