DRIVE A CLASSIC MERCEDES CONVERTIBLE!! Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is this very nice 1985 Mercedes 380 SL. Only 114K original miles! That’s an average of only 3. 00 miles a year its whole life. Most SL’s of this vintage have a lot more miles but this car has been used sparingly all its life. It’s in very nice condition for a 30 year old car. The paint is nice all around. Dash is really good considering most are full of cracks or covered. this one only has a couple small ones see photos. On the hood it has a cloudy spot from the sun (see photos). If you have ever owned one of these solid automobiles. you know how wonderful they are. Just running around town is fun. and a top-down ride on a beautiful day is pure pleasure! I have driven SL’s for many years and I can tell you this is a really nice solid car. really gets up and go's! Soft top and hard top are excellent which is very rare for a soft top for this year. The seats are worn but have lots of padding and a pair of new seat covers. If you have ever wanted an SL of this vintage but don’t want to nurse a worn out car then this is the car for you! These are the last of the “good” Mercedes. 380 SL’s are my favorite because they are powerful and smooth and will get up to 25mpg! That’s amazing for a car like this.
