Description
This Euro spec SLC was imported to US in the 80's. It runs and drives. The body of this car is pretty rough with several dents and some rust down low. Hood and trunk lid are straight and rust free. IMO this car is not worth restoring. However. mechanically this car is in good condition. and it would be an excellent donor to another SL or possibly a W114/115 hotrod. Rare euro spec high revving high compression 3. 5L V8 (M116) engine is in good condition. having covered only around 200k kilometers (about 120k miles). It starts instantly. keeps good temperature. oil and coolant pressure. No large oil leaks. and no exhaust leaks. in fact the whole exhaust system is in good condition. Engine is very tight and quiet. Automatic transmission is excellent. Brakes work. but one of the rear brakes is dragging. as the car has been sitting a while. PS works. Power electric sunroof works well. Rear diff is 3. 46 ratio. Dark blue navy MBTex upholstery has no tears. Front seat bottom upholstery is removed. and is included. 15" MB alloys are straight. tires are a bit weathered but not cracked. have full tread and hold air just fine. Should clean up nicely. Spare in the trunk is Bundt alloy. I have a clear title to the car. Will help arrange shipping. as necessary and willing to deliver to a local buyer as well.
