Description

I'm selling for old reliable 1991 White Mercedes Benz 300 D diesel sedan. I purchased this vehicle from a friend who was a Mercedes Mechanic. He was the type of guy who was always looking for cars he could repair and would often find Mercedes cars whose owners were selling rather than trying to repair. He would buy them on the cheap repair them and keep them - use them - and then sell them. My friend had 10 Mercedes when I called him and said "hey I need a reliable car that gets good gas milage" and he said he'd sell me the white one. I had just taken a job in Boston and knew I'd be travelling alot. When I bought "Janis" with 295104 miles in Oct 2011 she was extremely mechanically sound. She does look like she's been around the block a couple of times. I used Janice all the time I had my Boston job - which is more than two years. I worked there until March 2014. In March 2014 I was shopping for a diesel car for my Dad because I had such a great experience with this car - and I found one <1995 one owner - diesel> and I purchased it. My Dad is 84 and doesn't really care for the diesel so I have the 95 we bought him a Mercury Grand Marquis and I'm selling the 1991 diesel. My other cars include everything from a Rolls-Royce to an Austin America. I take care of all my cars well - even this older Mercedes because she was my daily driver. I was neverembarrassedto pull up anywhere in her. Might not have been the fanciest car but certainly the most reliable. That's how "Janis" has made it up for sale. I've always kept her oil changes up. Please keep in mind because I have six vehicles the people who do my basic car care workindependentlyfor me and their oil changes don't show on carfax etc. But I am 99 percent sure you will see alot of service. Since owning her I've :* changed the motor mounts* put a new transmission * new blower motor.* fancyheadlight bulbs (xeon I think they call them)* very good tires* new shocks where needed* new Mercedes Muffler* new glow plugsHer battery is failing if you buy her - I'll have her charged and she'll drive ANYWHERE. The battery holds a charge if not used for two days then needs a jump. So if you use her everyday you will be fine. She will need a battery at some point. The tires are all fine. Her sunroof works. Her A/C doesn't - but I didn't care because she's white and has a sunroof - so I'd just open her up and sail down the highway. This car never ever failed me with the one exception of the day the tranny died. Then she got a new one.Got a question? Let me know. 401 301 3000 and yes it's ok to text or call. Who will gladly buy this car???? Someone who knows just how reliable and superior these German diesels are.... This is called the 124 chassis and is considered to be one of the most reliable Mercedes made. Check the internet. If you want an excellent car - and are less sensative about Janis' toothy smile please bid.
