Description
For sale is a 1984 Mercedes Benz 230E. This is what is referred to as a gray market car. The car was bought in 1984 inStuttgart, ermany while on a family vacation. At the time we were told that it had been an executive's car and it was purchased with around 1000 miles on it. It wasdriven around Europe for our family vacation, hen shipped back to the United States, here it made Cleveland its new home. For over the last 30 years, his car has been owned by the same family and has hadbarely any miles put on it. The car currently has slightly over 30k original miles on it, hich for a car of this age isextremely rare. It has been garage kept, tarted and driven short distances in the summer only, hen put up on jacks and covered for the winter. I don't think the car has ever seen a raindrop on US soil. Other than routine oil changes, his car has had no issues. Everything is original, ncluding the tires. Because the car was imported, e were forced to change the headlights to a "American Approved" configuration and it was changed over to miles instead of kilometers. Basically, he car came with square headlights and we were forced tobuy the roundheadlights to be allowed to import it. The car comeswith the current front and rear lights, lus the original front and rear lights in a box. From my understanding, he US changed that requirement shortly after we imported the car. The only issue that I know of is when a small paint can was dropped on the hood about 10 years ago. I tried to take pictures of it to show the scuff. There doesn't appear to be a dent, ust a scuff. Other than that, his car is as new with no rust and flawless paint. I don't think the seats have ever been sat in without the included seat covers. This is a very clean car which deserves a home with someone that appreciates it. The car runs and drives with no issues or accident history. I would have no issues taking this car across the country. This car is an automatic and has a powered sunroof. It does not have a/c. Everything else onthe car is pretty much manual (windows, mirrors, tc.) The doors are manual, ut they entire car can be locked from the outside driver's door. This car isavailable to be seen prior to auction close on the West side of Cleveland. We can assist with shipping this car the best that we can, ut ultimately it is the buyer'sresponsibility. You can call me at 512-569-4617 if you shouldhave any questions. Thanks for looking
