Fully Restored 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL A very original number matching Mercedes-Benz 190SL. This car was acquired from a prominent non-profit foundation in North America, hose director meticulously maintained the car for the last 30 years. Upon his passing, he foundation decided to sell the car, hich was promptly put though an extensive restoration process to bring to its current nearly new condition. The car is finished in its original DB-317 GRAUBLAU and Parchment Leather Interior, nd a large window hardtop finished in its original DB-158 WEISSGRAU. The combination provides for a stunning effect and distinction representative of Mercedes-Benz golden era. The car is further complemented with a new DARK BLUE soft top. It is like having three cars in one – A fresh look and feel with the top down; a roadster-like ride with the soft top out; and a classy coupe period effect with the hard top on. The vehicle was brought to the metal to ensure there was no rust condition anywhere in the entire body of the car. The restoration process entailed finishing the car in its original Glasurit DB317 GRAUBLAU finish and original parchment leather interior. Brand new period white wall tires provide a unique touch. German square weave tan carpet with parchment leather trim provides a very high-end accent of the car’s interior. The entire underbody of the car has been done in its original factory finish with DB169 BrownGray. The wheel have the factory original camouflage green DB-268. All the weather-strip rubber seals of the car have been replaced with new OEM replacements, n addition many of the rubber bushings and grommets throughout the car. The very rare large window hardtop was fully restored with new rear glass, ew inner liners and chrome. Special attention to correctness and originality has been undertaken throughout the entire restoration process. All the chrome on the car, oth interior and exterior had been redone and or replaced to provide a like new finish. Original clock and Becker Radio adorn the dash. Radio has been restored by Becker Audio Sound. Original front floor (driver & passenger) and trunk rubber mats showcase the completeness of the SL. The engine had been re-built three years ago, nd it has been thoroughly checked for integrity and performance. The car is equipped with two webber carburetors. Over 300 pictures illustrate the integrity of the car and the extent of the restoration throughout the care. Work was performed by Performance & Vintage Classicos located in Morristown, J and Dominican Republic. The company is focused exclusively on Mercedes-Benz and specializes on 190SLs and Pagodas. The company is restoration plant is located in the Dominican Republic where a team of approximately 20 technicians work on restoring 6 to 8 SLs at any point in time.
