The Mercedes-Benz SL line unquestionably fits into this category with devilishly good looks and classic styling that appear as sophisticated today as they did when first introduced 43 years ago. With an uninterrupted sales streak that ran from 1972 through 1989, he SL line was one of the company’s most venerable with the R107 chassis. Several engine options were made available over the years, ome that failed to do the car any justice; but when the most powerful SL was introduced in 1986 with the release of the 560, ercedes-Benz was hitting all the right notes.
