This is a very nice rust free example that shows well and is in great mechanical condition. These 280 SL's have increased steadily in value over the years and are some of nicest classic cars you will ever drive. There is something special about the way this car cruises down the road, t feels like something special but can be used everyday without issue. MechanicalThis Mercedes is in great mechanical condition. The injection system was just rebuilt at a cost of over $5000. It runs exceptionally well and drives very tight. The AC system is in place but is not working, ay just need a charge. Odometer is working intermittently so mileage isn’t 100% accurate.
BodyVery solid body and undercarriage. All the panels on this Mercedes line up nicely and there are no major dings or dents to report. The chrome is in great condition overall.
PaintThe paint is in fair condition overall, here are only a few minor imperfections on the hood and the paint presents nicely otherwise. (The vehicle was originally a deep Olive Green as can be seen on the dash, he current color is a mercedes blue green that was offered on the 230SL)
