This fantastic 280SEL 4.5 was originally owned by P Richard Bauer a New York investment banker. After purchasing the car in New York, ecords suggest it was moved to his vacation home in Colorado soon after, here it was used sparingly. It remained remarkably rust free in the dry Colorado climate. The vehicle only accumulate only 134685 miles in 39 years. After his passing in 2011, he vehicle was sold via estate sale to R. Ward of Salem NH. Mr Ward invested in a mild refreshing of the vehicle tuning the engine, pdating all injection components including all new lines on the engine and injectors, ligned the front end, ad all the chrome removed and buffed the paint, hen replaced all the rubber seals on the doors, indows,trunk, tc.and replaced thebright trim and moldings with new NOS Mercedes items. The car was used in the good weather adding 4,000 miles in 3 years. I purchased the car a year ago. However, nbsp;I have 3 other old cars, have not been able to use it nearly as much as I had planned. I have driven it about 500 miles in dry weather in this past year. I don't get to use it enough, herefore, have decided to let someone else enjoy this great car.

I am an engineer and I my hobby is to work on old Mercedes. This has been one of my weekend and evening project cars, oing little things whenever I have spare time. In the past year, have done the following:

- Installed new Bilstien shocks on all 4 corners

- replaced the rear hydrocompensator on the rear axle. (someone had replaced it with the spring). This is a $1800 item from MB.

- new exhaust manifold seal to downpipe- detailed the interior, reated leather seats, emoved and shampoo carpets, nd cleaned andpolished the wood and chrome-repaired windshield washer system,replacing theplastic washer tank and hoses,- detailed and cleaned the engine- charged A/C, hanged cabin air filters- new engine hoses, ew MB coolant and fuel system hoses from tank to engine. - change the brake fluid and bleed the brakes- Cleaned fuel tank, ew gas cap seal, ew rear fuel lines andevap.canister lines and new fuel filters- new wiper blades, hanged transmission fluid, nd rear end oil- repair glove box light, ew rear reading lights, leaned dash light bulbs and turn signal bulbs- flushed brake system with new Mercedes brake fluid- changed oil and air filters, uned the engine including valve cover gaskets and new oil pan gasket
- cleaning and painted the light surface corrosion in the trunk and underneath with POR coating- new MB rubber drain plugs in trunk area
