Offering this 1982 Mercedes 380 SL Convertible with 154k. VIN wdbba45a3cb015226. My friend asked me to sell this for him because he does not like dealing with people and it just so happens I own a consignment store so you can come see it anytime we're open - hours below. My friend is moving but can't take it with him. He got this about two years ago and put over 5k in repairs to it - so the owner is basically just asking for the repair money back. In good running condition, hese can sell for as much as 10k.
It starts (needs a battery). It runs (a little sluggish at first). The heater works - it takes a minute to come on and as you can see the console bezel is missing. The right power window, nterior cluster lights, nd the antenna do not work. Lights and signals seem fine. The convertible top is missing a trim seal and will leak if not replaced. There is some rust on the rear deck under to top frame and trunk lid. The trunk and floor pans are dry with no signs of serious rust. The wheel wells, oor jams, nd frame look good with little or no serious rust. There are a few paint bubbles/ blisters. The brakes work but may require some minor attention. Most gauges seem to work, pedo, ach, uel, tc. The transmission shifts on time but is sluggish at first. The engine sounds good and runs fine and does not blow smoke and does not seem to be burning oil. There is nothing leaking - no fluid drips underneath. The car has been mostly sitting in a garage for the past year and will require some detailing and TLC. We have records (included with sale) showing all of the work that was done in 2013. Major repairs that were done in 2013 consist of fuel pump, ower steering pump, at converter, ost gaskets, alves, eals, nd fluids. Scroll down the pictures to see the work. SHIPPING

Shipping charges seem high because eBay and Paypal now charge sellers a portion of the money collected specifically from the shipping. Therefore we have to offset this with handling to avoid loosing money. Please take the total cost of ownership into consideration when placing a bid.

Please use the calculator below the auction price for a shipping quote. Most items are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment (excluding Sunday). Some items may take up to 2 (two) days to properly package and ship. If you are sensitive to shipping time, lease inquire about expected shipping delays prior to bidding. Insurance up to $100 is included with the shipping price quoted. For items that sell for more than $100, small charge (about $1 per additonal $100) will be added to the invoice. All items have a small handling fee to cover our materials. Every auction has this handling fee, ven if won by the same bidder. Unless you specifically request otherwise: Domestic items shipped with UPS will be left without signature if the value is below $100. For items valued over $100 or if the address appears to be an apartment, ignatures are required for delivery.

International buyers, lease be aware that you may incur a brokerage and/or customs fee upon delivery. We do not misrepresent the purchase price of items on packing slips. Winning bidder is responsible for actual shipping charges. There is a minum handling fee of $5 for non-US shipments. We will ONLY ship items overseas that can be sent Priority Mail, s parcel post does not offer proof of delivery. Combined shipping is done at the sellers discretion. Similar items won that can be safely packaged in the same box will reduce the total estimated cost by about 40% per item or will add $3-5 for each additional item within weight and size classes.

RETURNS

All merchandise is sold 'as-is'. We will accept returns if an item is significantly not-as-described. Keep in mind that items (such as electronics or similar)  have many 'features' and we do NOT test things past what appears to be the item's basic function. Any problems must be reported to us within 3 business days of receiving the item. When in doubt, lease ask questions. Return shipping is always paid by the buyer and will not be reimbursed unless a given item was in fact significantly misrepresented.

If an item is damaged in shipping (UPS), lease save the outside packaging and call UPS with the tracking number at 1-800-742-5877. They will in turn contact us and schedule an inspection of the item in question. If an item is destroyed beyond use, e will of course issue you a full refund as soon as the item has been sent back to us. If an item is partially damaged but you wish to keep it, lease contact us to discuss other options.
