Here's a 1966 Mercury Comet Cyclone convertible rolling shell. In it's day it was quite a special car. Today, it's got great bones for a great project.
The bad: The motor, transmission and interior are all gone. It was originally a 390 V-8 with a 4 speed transmission, yellow with a black convertible top and black vinyl interior. It will need a total restoration
The good: The body is pretty much rust free with much of the original paint still showing. It rolls and steers. The floors and trunk are solid, not 100% perfect, never the less, very solid. The torque boxes are also solid. The owner has a clean title in his name on a California Non-Op.
Some particulars a prospect should note. The driver's door has been replaced with one from a salvage yard and it does NOT have the correct data plate. The vin# is correctly stamped on the driver's side top radiator support. It will need a windshield, the side glass appears good, the differential is NON-posi, it still retains it's fiberglass hood.
