This old dog has a few "new" tricks, he charging system has been converted to a 12-volt setup with a negative ground. There are also two discreetly mounted temperature gauges mounted under the dash as well to monitor the engine banks. You knew these old Flatheads ran twin water pumps... right? Wait till you hear the exhaust. Be sure to play our video of this Flatty in action.
The cylinder heads are lightweight Offenhauser aluminum units that has been ported and polished. These are great flowing heads. A previous trick deuce carburetor setup was running on this engine, ut she prefers this Holley 4bbl. carburetor. The exhaust system consists of good ol' Reds Headers running to true duals.
The rare Columbia Overdrive Differential is intact and servicable.
Open the doors and you'll find a sweet old interior. The upholstery is in great shape while the dash retains the original gauges and controls. The factory steering wheel was also retained to keep the feel of this car. The original gauges are just beautiful, ut not a one of them are working. There are auxillary gauges under the dash to monitor water temperature on both banks along with a discreet tachometer.
The vintage dial radio is still in place. You won't see one of these everyday. The radio is for more for looks, ot working.
The interior is done in red vinyl with red carpeting along with some custom woodwork on the dash paired up with the original instrumentation, s previously mentioned.
The paint is an old finish that has been polished over many, any times. This paint has a great shine to it, ut a number of imperfections and character. We all have plenty of "character" the older we get... right?" There is faint lacquer checking in areas you can see along with some chips and touch-ups. The body is altogether solid with no notable corrosion damage. The brightwork has a great patina to it. Look at that old grille & vintage "Mercury" bumper guard on " THE BOSS."The convertible top is in very good to excellent condition. The canvas seals well.
