1948 Mercury coupe: All Ford, enry would approve of this build, owered by a rebuilt high-performance 289 and 3 speed automatic that came out of a 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA. The engine sounds great with dual exhaust, uns beautifully, hifts perfectly - including kick-down -and has plenty of power;drives nice and smooth down the road at 70 mph. Mustang II front suspension withpower discbrakes, ear drum, okar shifter,power steering, ew am/fm/mp3 in-dash Vintage Sounds stereo. Professionally upholsteredwith a Glide Engineering front seat. Could use new carpeting, ut is ok as is. Blue metallic base coat/clear coat paint has "ghost flames" that were laid out really nice, ut covered up a little too much so are hard to see but still pretty cool! Solid car, oesn't look like it ever had any real rust repair, ew tinted glass all the way around.Car comes with3 ring binder supplied by previous owner detailing all parts used for the build. I drove this car 5 hours from my home to St Paul, N for the Back to the Fifties car show in June of this year, nd itran great, o over-heating issues at all.Nice old hot rod at a great price, ot perfect but priced appropriately, ust get in it and drive it home!
